Research Policy
Research is through open competition for research grants. Research grants are for concentration of research in specific locations, the Benchmark Site Research (BSR) and for policy analysis, the National Policy Research (NPR).
In order to realize scientific excellence and social relevance from the researches, NURRU applies the guidelines of the “Quality Indicator Framework” (QIF) which had been developed and adopted by the MMRPs in October 1999. The QIF has seven distinct components linked in a cyclic temporal process of research management, namely;
- Teams
- Themes
- Dialogue
- Monitoring
- Results
- Dissemination
- Institutional and capacity building indicators are crosscutting in all the other 6 components.
