 You are welcome to the Network of Ugandan Researchers and Research Users’ website.
Since 1994, NURRU has had a track record of multi disciplinary, demand led and action oriented research. It has encouraged the dissemination and use of the locally generated research data in policy formulation and implementation. The generated research data has been useful in influencing and informing policy and practice in Uganda.
The Network boasts of a membership of 49 member
organizations who are both researchers and research
users. I would like to thank all our member organizations
for their contributions to the Network. Special
thanks go to our donors who have enabled us realize
our objectives.
We have positioned ourselves as a center of excellence
in research not only in Uganda but also in the
East African region. We are currently involved
in research projects with Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya
and the University of Kwazulu Natal; South Africa.
Our Resource Center at the Secretariat has rich
research data-sets in Socio-economic, health,
environmental, and agricultural research, among
others, I encourage researchers and research users
who are not our members to come at the Secretariat
and have a look at these research reports.
